Ranching Heritage Center

The Ranching Heritage Center is a wonderful place to go for the kids. They have their Ranching Heritage Day each year where the boys get to make various crafts and see people dress in the old "wild west" garb. Last year Nicholas got to write with a feather and ink on paper. They have a lot of fun and it is completely free. We also did Halloween out there this past year and liked that they give out "old timey" candy. Pretty neat!!!

Christian's First Tooth

Here is a closeup of the making of Christian's first tooth!! As you can tell, he is a messy eater.

Noodles and Eggs...and Ramen

Growing up, my mom would feed me Eggs and Noodles for meals. It was obviously a cheap and easy to make meal...and since I would eat it, it was a triple score for her. As a kid she would tell me that when she was growing up, kids ate their Eggs and Noodles with sugar on it and grownups would eat theirs with vinegar and lettuce. To this day putting Vinegar and lettuce on Eggs and Noodles turns me off. I believe I must still be a kid at heart.

About once a month, I still make this to eat for myself. These pictures are from the first time I served it to Christian. He LOVED it!!! This was a wonderful thing for me as Nicholas would never touch Eggs and Noodles with a 10-foot pole. He does, however, love Ramen noodles. Usually when I make Eggs and Noodles, I now also make Ramen for the boys. As Christian has gotten a little older, he has gotten pickier as well. He will no longer eat Eggs and Noodles, but I don't know if it is because I just haven't given it to him at the right moment (picky, remember) or if it is because he truly doesn't like it.

As for their Daddy? He turns his nose up in disgust at the mere mention of Eggs and Noodles. Fine with me...that means I get more of it!!

Christian Crawls and Throws Ball

Very Cute footage of Christian throwing the ball to me. Here he is in all his baby-butterball-ness!

Easter Pictures 2008

Easter Egg hunt in our back yard. The boys had a lot of fun. We hid many eggs that Nicholas got to hunt pretty much all by himself. Christian was not yet walking, so we surrounded him with eggs to play with. He liked the shiny ones a lot.

We also played baseball outside and Nicholas started hitting a pitched ball every once in a while. He's getting better at it all the time!!!

Around the House- March 2008

Here are some pictures I loved because I remember seeing my mother's pictures of me as a kid getting into the kitchen cabinets. I thought this would be a nice thing for her to see. Also, you can get a feel for what the boys like to do when they are at home---basically, just get into things. This has not changed since these were taken last March.
